DAVEY AROUND THE WORLD
ADVENTURE AND DOWNTIME IN HAWAII
Drew Adami, project manager, Utility Asset Management, Davey Resource
Group, spent 10 days on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, with his girlfriend over
Thanksgiving. It was his first time visiting the Aloha State, and the trip
offered the perfect mix of adventure and downtime.
"We kind of bounced around every part of the island," Adami said.
"Climbing the Koko Crater trail and watching surfers at the Banzai Pipeline
were definitely highlights."
The combination of hiking, sightseeing and local cuisine checked off a
few bucket list items, Adami said.

HONEYMOONING IN IRELAND
Instead of a typical beach honeymoon, Dawn Blicharz, engineering services
administrator, Utility Asset Management, Davey Resource Group, and her
husband chose Ireland to check off a shared bucket-list adventure.
They rented a car and explored the countryside, stopping at castles, old pubs,
the Guiness tour and a scenic cliff. "The people were really friendly and the
food was fantastic. The views were just breathtaking," Blicharz said.
Being a history buff, she was fascinated by how the locals used natural
resources like stone to build fences and used peat moss for heating, hundreds
of years ago.
"In the countryside, it was beautiful and not too crowded. You were really able
to immerse yourself in with the locals. That made for some good experiences
and great memories," Blicharz said.
