I started at Davey in April of 2018 as a foreman, Eastern Utility services. What is your current title and responsibilities? I am a supervisor, Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc. T&M account, and I'm currently responsible for being a hands-on leader for 22 of our crews, doing field work, and managing any customer complaints. What's one of your most memorable projects that you've been a part of? I recently worked on some storm cleanup efforts in Texas, and I was surprised by the response and social media coverage it got. Although I've worked on many storm jobs, I still enjoy working on them and feel satisfied by helping others in different states. Who is someone at Davey who has had a significant impact on your career? My area manager William Wulf has made a big impact on me because he puts a lot of trust in me and my career. He's a great role model, always steers me in the right direction, and encourages me to use my voice. What is your favorite music genre? I'm all over the place with what I listen to, but I really like country music and artists like Morgan Wallen. What is something you'd want to be famous for? I would want to be known as the greatest "papa," and for helping my son coach my grand- kids' flag football teams. What is something you like to do outside of Davey? My wife and I have a pontoon boat that we like to take out on the ocean with our kids and grandkids. We most recently took the boat out in the waters of Destin, Florida. The Davey Tree Employee Scholarship provides support for employees who are currently working at Davey and are pursuing education to support furthering their career in the green industry, including arboriculture, horticulture, landscape, turf science, forestry, or other area of study in which Davey performs or intends to perform services; business, administrative, or technical work skills related to the position the candidate currently holds at Davey; or business, administrative, or technical work skills related to an available position at Davey.
