13 November/December 2024 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN A DECADE OF SALUTING BRANCHES This year's Saluting Branches was themed as "A Decade of Dedication," as it marked their 10th annual volunteer day event, where tree care industry professionals visit veterans' memorial cemeteries across the country to provide tree and landscape care. Davey had around 100 employees participate in the event across 18 cemeteries this year. Benjamin Haffner, trimmer, Southeast Seattle offi ce, Residential/Commercial services, participated in the day of service for the fi rst time, and said the volunteer experience was rewarding and well-planned. "It's nice to do something that has a positive impact," Dallman said. "We are stewards in the community, so getting to help out locally for an environmental cause is a great use of our time."
