In 2002, Klimas was promoted to operations manager for the Mid-Atlantic Operating Group for R/C services. Klimas was among the inaugural recipients of e Best of Davey Leadership Award in 2007 and would lead several residential offices in the Mid-Atlantic during the recession. Dan Nihiser joined Davey in 1979 as a lawn technician in the Akron, Ohio, lawn care office. He earned several promotions, including to district manager of the operation, before being named operations manager, Great Lakes region, R/C services in 1996—the position he would retire from in 2013. is role would have Nihiser overseeing a heavy concentration of residential offices during the recession. He received the Davey Outstanding Manager Award and is a past member of the president's council. Jeff Parson's Davey career started in 1982 in R/C services before transferring to work as a groundperson on the Ohio Edison account that same year. He was promoted through the utility field ranks, including to senior supervisor by 1998 and later oper- ations manager. A D.I.T.S. graduate, Parson was promoted to operations manager in 2013 and then regional vice president, Utility services, in 2017. He is a Davey Outstanding Manager Award recipient and past president's council member. Blane Pshigoda started at Davey in 1997 as a site manager on the Peterson Air Force Base CLS territory. He also served as a project manager and branch manager in Colorado within the CLS service line. He was promoted to division manager of government/projects in 2012. An outstanding manager award recipient, Pshigoda also is a past member of the president's council. Lou Stevens started at Davey in 1976 as a groundperson on the PG&E Mission Trails account. He quickly earned several promotions, including to supervisor in 1994 and later operations manager for the Davey Tree Surgery Company. Stevens, a D.I.T.S. graduate and past president's council member, was promoted to regional vice president, PG&E operations, in 2018. David Tonigussi started with Davey Tree in 1986. He worked in the Toronto Residential/Commercial office, including serving as assistant district manager under Murray Linton, until 1993 when he was named district manager of the newly created Mississauga office. Tonigussi held that position through the Great Recession and as recently as 2017. He is a past president's council member and D.I.T.S. graduate. Trey Webster started with Davey in 1983 as a spray technician at the North Detroit office primarily treating lawns. A D.I.T.S. graduate and past Davey President's Council member, he worked his way up the ranks in Residential/Commercial services and was an operations manager in 2008 during the recession. Webster would eventually be promoted to operations manager, R/C services, Great Lakes Central operating group. Jack Bloomfield presents during a safety summit in 2014.
