Jack Bloomfield joined Davey in 1976 as a groundperson on the Commonwealth
Edison account. He earned several promotions in Utility services, including to area
manager and regional manager, before being promoted to regional vice president for
Eastern Utility services in 2006. Bloomfield is a D.I.T.S. graduate and a past member
of the Davey President's Council.
Scott Carlin joined Davey in 2004 as a project developer for the geographic
information systems group. He later got involved with the asset management team
and was named market manager of asset management in 2012. A past president's
council member, Carlin was promoted to vice president of asset management for
DRG in 2016.
Geoff Cowan joined Davey in 1983 as a technician at the West Cleveland R/C
office. He has held numerous field and sales positions within residential services and
has earned several outstanding manager awards. A D.I.T.S. graduate, and past presi-
dent's council member, Cowan was promoted to market manager for Chicago-based
R/C operations in 2014. He was named operations manager in 2017 of the Chicago-
based R/C north-central operations.
Larry Evans joined Davey in 1980 when Larry Abernathy hired him as a ground-
person on the PG&E Santa Cruz account. He later became a foreman, area supervisor,
area manager, account manager and then operations manager in 2003. In 2006,
on the cusp of the recession, Evans was promoted to vice president. He was then
promoted to senior vice president, the Davey Tree Surgery Company, in 2012, and
then vice president and general manager of the surgery company in 2017. He is a past
member of the president's council.
Keith Francies started at Davey in 1985 as a trimmer trainee in the Greensboro,
North Carolina, residential office. He was promoted to sales and service technician
in 1986 and then to sales representative in 1990. Later that same year he was named
district manager of the office. In 2004, Francies was promoted to operations manager,
Southeastern operations, R/C services. at position would have him overseeing
several offices in the southeast during the recession. He is a 1988 graduate of D.I.T.S.
Ray Hannebique started at Davey in 2001 as a project manager in Davey Resource
Group with extensive professional experience in the utility vegetation management
market. By 2007, he was promoted to regional operations manager for DRG.
Ultimately, he would be promoted to vice president of operations, Midwest region,
Eastern Utility services. He is a past member of the Davey President's Council.
Marvin Hassell joined Davey in 1979 as a groundperson in Trenton, Florida. He
was later promoted to foreman and supervisor, then senior supervisor and assistant
manager within Utility services. He was promoted to area manager of the Gulf
region in 2000 and then regional manager in 2004, overseeing several large utility
accounts during the recession. He was named operations manager in 2014 before
being promoted to regional vice president in 2015. Hassell is a D.I.T.S. graduate and
past president's council member.
Chris Klimas started at Davey in 1984 and worked as both sales and service tech-
nician and sales representative in the Washington, D.C., office prior to becoming
