26 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | November/December 2022 Wes Fryar Davey Resource Group Matthew French Cleveland West territory TRANSITIONS Vince Distrola has been promoted to market manager, South Central operations, R/C services. Distrola joined Davey in 2002 as a lawn technician at the Denver office and was promoted to sales and service technician later that year. He was promoted to sales arborist in 2006, and assistant district manager in 2012. Distrola most recently served as district manager, South Denver office, since 2018. He holds a bachelor's degree in forest science from Pennsylvania State University. Distrola is a D.I.T.S. graduate and an ISA Certified Arborist ® . Travis Evans has been promoted to market manager, Western operations, R/C services. Evans joined Davey in 2001 as an apprentice climber, PG&E Southern Coast account. In 2005, he was promoted to consulting utility forester, PG&E pre-inspection, Davey Resource Group (DRG). Evans moved to the Santa Clara office in 2007 as a foreman and was promoted to sales arborist later that year. In 2012, he was named assistant district manager of the Santa Cruz office, and in 2015 he was promoted to district manager. Evans is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and an ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist™. Vince Distrola Residential/ Commercial services Matthew French has been promoted to branch manager, Cleveland West territory. French joined Davey in 2016 as a landscape crew leader at the Cleveland East territory. He was promoted to production manager in 2019 and to account manager in 2020. French moved to the Cleveland West territory in 2021. He holds an associate's degree in turfgrass and landscape management from Kent State University, and a Commercial Applicator License in Ohio. French is a D.I.G.M. and D.I.T.S. graduate. Wes Fryar has been promoted to area manager, Davey Resource Group (DRG), Environmental Consulting (EC), Eastern North Carolina. Fryar joined Davey in 2018 as part of the Land Management Group acquisition as a senior associate consultant. Dave Fulk has been promoted to area manager, Eastern Utility services, Michigan. Fulk joined Davey in 1984 as a groundperson and held various positions over the years, including trimmer and foreman. In 2007, he was a foreman on the Detroit Edison account and became a general foreman later that year. Fulk was promoted to production manager on the same account in 2013. In 2021, he was promoted to field support specialist, Midwest region, Eastern Utility. Fulk is an ISA Certified Arborist ® and holds a Commercial Pesticide License in Michigan. Dan Gillen has been promoted to district manager, Charlottesville office. Gillen joined Davey in 2014 as a landscaper at the Albany office and was promoted to sales arborist in 2019. He is a Davey Institute of Horticultural Sciences (D.I.H.S.) and D.I.T.S. graduate and is an ISA Certified Arborist ® .
