I started as a climber. 2. What is your current title and responsibilities? General foreman. I'm responsible for the crews I help coordinate. We take care of removals and trimmings. I also get permission for the crews calling property owners for access for trimming around power lines, as well as resolving complaints and refusals. I work with the crews to ensure they adhere to Davey safety protocol and guidelines. 3. What office/operation do you work at? I work at PG&E Los Padres, Davey Tree Surgery Company. 4. What is one of your most memorable projects you've been a part of? The 4,300-acre wildfire in California's Napa County in 2014. The magnitude of it was devastating, and unfortunately, lots of houses burned down. I was impressed by all the crews that Davey had for this project. We had a lot of people who worked to remove burnt trees that were in danger of hitting power lines. 5. Who is someone at Davey who has had a significant impact on your career? When I started working for Davey back in 1997, I saw Larry Evans, who is currently executive vice president and general manager, Davey Tree Surgery Company, climbing and helping his crews with removals. I later found out that he was a supervisor. That had a big impact on me.
