TRUCE PROTECTS OUR EMPLOYEES AND COMMUNITIES
Vehicular safety has improved greatly for Davey employees
who now have access to the TRUCE mobile app to reduce
distractions while driving.
Davey now has 3,000 total active TRUCE app users in Utility
services, Residential/Commercial services, Commercial
Landscape Services and Davey Resource Group.
Driver safety increases with the TRUCE app, which
suppresses text messages, mobile app notifications and
non-hands free Bluetooth phone calls while driving. TRUCE
suppresses these notifications on company-issued and
supported mobile devices so drivers can focus on the road
when driving a Davey vehicle outfitted with TRUCE.
"We want to keep our employees safe. That's really what it
comes down to," said Paul Milano, director, Fleet Services.
"We're also protecting our communities where we live and
work by reducing distracted driving in TRUCE-equipped
vehicles."
A total of 3,100 sales vehicles, light duty and super duty

The average person taps or swipes their mobile phone more
than 2,600 times in a single day, according to TRUCE.
TRUCE does permit hands-free and Bluetooth use of phones
by drivers in Davey vehicles. Calls, text messages and app
notifications suppressed by TRUCE remain on a user's phone
and are shown as available when a TRUCE user ends their
drive.
"Employees who have been using TRUCE the longest love
it because it helps eliminate the bad habit of wanting to
constantly check your phone when you get a notification,
even when you are driving," Milano said. "Distracted driving
has become prevalent in everyone's daily lives. At the end
of the day, we know we will make an impact even if we help
prevent just one driving incident."
