FORT COLLINS CLIMBER PLACES THIRD
IN TREE CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIP
Three climbers from Davey's Fort
Collins office competed in the
International Society of Arboriculture
(ISA) Rocky Mountain Chapter (RMC)
Tree Climbing Championship (TCC) in
Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Abby Alm placed third overall in the
women's division. She also placed in
the top 3 for all the qualifying events,
which included aerial rescue, belayed
speed climb, the ascent event,
throwline and work climb.
Jake Sickmond placed 11th in the
men's division and Torin Harris placed
12th. Andy Freise, regional skills trainer,
Davey Institute, helped with set up for
the competition and worked as a tree
tech during the event.

She also recently took part in the Women's
Climbing Workshop in Greenley, Colorado,
organized by the ISA RMC and supported
by the Fort Collins R/C office.
