26 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | September/October 2021 RETIREMENTS Anthony Charette retired July 4, 2021, following 38 years of service. Charette was a sales arborist, Hartney Greymont, Needham office. Charette started with Davey in 1983 as a sales and service coordinator with Allen Tree before it was acquired by Davey and became the Boston Residential/ Commercial (R/C) office. He was promoted to sales arborist in 1990 and then district manager in 1991. In 2010 he transitioned back to sales arborist before transferring to the Needham office in 2011. Ken Clear retired June 20, 2021, following 36 years of service. Clear was vice president, R/C services, New England operating group. Clear started as a crew leader and climber with The Care of Trees (TCOT) in White Plains, New York, in 1981. Between 1986 and 1998 he served as district foreman, sales arborist, district manager, regional manager and operating officer of TCOT. In 2003 he was named executive vice president, TCOT, and became operations vice president in 2009. Clear is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist ® . He is a past member of the Davey President's Council. Gerald Dykins retired May 2, 2021, following 29 years of service. Dykins was account manager, Upper Atlantic operating group, Eastern Utility services. Dykins joined Davey in 1992 as a trimmer on the West Penn Power account. Between 1992 and 2005, Dykins served in various roles on accounts in Eastern Utility services. From 2015 until his retirement, he served as account manager of operations in the Upper Atlantic, Central, Florida and South Carolina utility regions. Dykins received the Outstanding Manager award in 2007. He is a past member of the Davey President's Council. Tavita Faasua retired July 4, 2021, following 39 years of service. Faasua was a general foreman on the San Diego Gas & Electric account. Faasua started with Davey in 1981 on the SDG&E account. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® . Angel Ortega Godinez retired June 20, 2021, following seven years of service. Godinez was a foreman, Southern California Edison Pole Treating account. Edward Greene retired May 30, 2021, following five years of service. Greene was a production manager, Chippers Woodstock office. Brian Jay retired June 6, 2021, after five years of service. Jay was a UVM technician, DRG, Mid-American account. Jay started with Davey in 1973 as a foreman at the Quad Cities office where he worked as a sales arborist and district manager. He retired in 2014 but returned to Davey in 2016 as a foreman with DRG. He worked as a UVM technician on various accounts until retiring in June 2021. Jay is a 1981 D.I.T.S. graduate. Esteban Lopez retired July 4, 2021, following nine years of service. Lopez was a senior technician, PG&E Pole Test and Treating account. Paul Lubbert retired June 27, 2021, following 17 years of service. Lubbert was a sales and service technician, North Pittsburgh office. James McKinney retired May 16, 2021, following 32 years of service. McKinney was a supervisor, Green Mountain Power account. McKinney joined Davey in 1988 as a trimmer on the the Granite State Electric account. From 1990 to 1998 he served as general foreman and supervisor before transferring to the Central Vermont Public Service account in 2003. In 2017 he was promoted to supervisor of the National Grid New England account before returning to the Green Mountain Power account in 2020. McKinney is a 1995 D.I.T.S. graduate.
