25 May/June 2020 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN Carlos Carnalla retired Feb. 23, 2020, following six years of service. Carnalla was a trimmer on the Appalachian Electric Cooperative account. Timothy Kelling retired March 8, 2020, following 21 years of service. Kelling was a maintenance mechanic at the Wooster Nursery. Kelling started his career with Davey in 1997 as a landscape foreman, Southeast Chicago office. Lemar Mcghee retired Feb. 23, 2020, following two years of service. Mcghee was a trimmer on the Joe Wheeler Electric Cooperative account. Ann Messino retired March 31, 2020, following 46 years of service. Messino was administrative assistant, Operations Support. She started her career with Davey in 1973 as a secretary in office services. During her time with Davey, Messino served as administrative assistant for the Residential/Commercial, Commercial Landscape Services and Utility service lines, as well as in human resource development. Kevin Mullinary retired April 5, 2020, following 45 years of service. Mullinary was a sales arborist at the South Baltimore office. He started his career in 1974 as a groundman at the North Pittsburgh office. During his time in Pittsburgh, Mullinary served as foreman, sales trainee and assistant district manager before transitioning to the South Baltimore office in 1994, where he served as district manager from 1995 to 2020. Mullinary is a 1977 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) Marcus Shaw retired March 15, 2020, following seven years of service. Shaw was a foreman on the Florida Public Utilities account. Paul Lee Spier retired Feb. 23, 2020, following seven years of service. Spier was a trainer on the FirstEnergy account. Susan Straub retired March 1, 2020, following 24 years of service. Straub was senior supervisor of administrative services at the corporate office in Kent. Straub started her career with Davey in 1996 as a secretary in the human resource department. During her time with Davey, Straub was a member of the Davey CARE Committee, co-coordinator of the Davey United Way Campaign and Community Service Project and served on multiple local and national boards for the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Mark Vaughn retired March 8, 2020, following 47 years of service. Vaughn was vice president and general manager, Eastern Utility services. He started his career with Davey in 1972 as a groundman on the Commonwealth Edison account. During his time with Davey, Vaughn served as foreman, supervisor, account manager, area manager, regional manager, and operations manager on various Eastern Utility accounts, before earning promotions to vice president of operations, Utility services, in 2002, vice president and general manager, Eastern Utility ser- vices, in 2010, and vice president and general manager, Northern U.S. Utility services, in 2016. He was named a corporate officer in 2013. Vaughn is a charter member of the Davey Presi- dent's Council, and a recipient of the Outstanding Manager Award.
