COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPE SERVICES REORGANIZES
AROUND REGIONS
Davey's Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) has
reorganized its operating structure by regions, combining
previously separate government/projects and CLS territories
under regional management personnel.
Dan Joy, executive vice president and general manager,
CLS and operations support services, said for the past
10 years CLS has been organized around three divisions:
CLS territories, government/projects locations and Davey
Golf contracts.
"We believe this new concept better prepares us to manage
anticipated growth," Joy said. "CLS is excited to announce
these organizational changes while we look to improve our
management of recent growth and prepare for the future
vision of the service line."
Although golf functions will remain separate, reorganizing
by a geographic and regional concept to combine territories
and government/projects operations promotes cross-training
and increased collaboration across the service line, Joy said.
The reorganization subdivides CLS government/projects and
territories by the North, South, East and West regions. Greg
Myers will serve as vice president, operations, North and
East regions. Blane Pshigoda will serve as vice president,
operations, West and South regions.
Mark Svozil, vice president and general manager, CLS,
said the reorganization breaks down silos within the service
line and allows management personnel to work better
together as one team.
"This organizational realignment is similar to the way
Davey Residential/Commercial services are structured,"
Svozil said. "From our regional managers throughout field
management, they all have government/projects sites and
CLS territories reporting to them. This kind of cross-training
of our managers provides more opportunities to grow in
their individual markets."
Employees of Commercial Landscape Services are now organized
by region across the U.S.
