25 January/February 2020 | THE DAVEY BULLETIN Mark Nielson was promoted to operations manager, CLS, Northeast operating group. Nielson joined Davey in 2004 as a crew leader. He was project manager on the IBM, Progressive Insurance, Arlington National Cemetery and Woodlawn Cemetery projects from 2004 to 2015. He is a D.I.T.S. and D.IG.M. graduate. Johnny Page was promoted to operations manager, Eastern Utility services, Gulf Region. Page started at Davey in 1996 as a groundperson on the Tampa Electric account and was promoted to foreman in 1997. From 2002 to 2016 he was promoted to general foreman, supervisor, senior supervisor, account manager and then area manager. He is a 2004 D.I.T.S. graduate, ISA Certified Arborist and TCIA CTSP. Sarah Palagyi was promoted to manager, residential marketing. Palagyi joined Davey in 2016 as a senior project manager, corporate marketing. She holds an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. Blane Pshigoda has been promoted to vice president, CLS. Pshigoda will continue to work for the government/ projects division while taking on additional responsibilities within the CLS service line. Pshigoda started at Davey in 1997 as a site manager on the Peterson Air Force Base CLS territory. He also served as project manager and branch manager in Colorado. He was promoted to division manager of government/ projects in 2012 and then operations vice president of government/projects, CLS, in 2019. He is a past member of the Davey President's Council. Tom Pysher was promoted to area manager, DRG, asset management services. Pysher started with DRG in 2012 as joint use auditor before transitioning to project coordinator and then project manager, asset management. Ian Scott was promoted to area manager, DRG, environmental consulting, Seattle area. Scott joined DRG in 1998 as a utility forester, PG&E account. Most recently he was senior consulting arborist, Pacific Northwest. He is an ISA Certified Arborist ® with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. Matthew Shaffer was promoted to manager, strategic plan administration. Shaffer joined Davey in 2015 as a senior project manager and has been responsible for strategic plan reporting, the Davey Company Annual Report and other strategic communications. Robert Trafzer was promoted to branch manager of the Nashville CLS territory. Trafzer began his career with Davey in 2004 as crew leader, Detroit territory. He is a graduate of D.I.T.S., D.I.G.M. and the CLS Advanced Leadership program. Wulf began his career with Davey in 2015 as foreman, Duke Energy Florida account. He was promoted to general foreman of the Duke Energy account and has served as general forman on the Orlando Utilities, Florida Outsource Crew, and Withlacoochee River Electric accounts. In 2018 he was promoted to senior supervisor.
