FORESTRY SCHOOLS VISIT DAVEY

traditional forestry.
When the council wasn't conducting internal meetings, they asked Davey to
facilitate speakers. The CEFTS members heard from numerous representatives
from Kent-area locations and operations during their sessions at the Institute.
Pictured are attendees of the CEFTS session at Davey, including: Laurie Benge, Itasca Community

SUPPORTING FORESTRY TRIP AT ALMA MATER
Davey made a donation to Hocking College's Forestry
Club to help support their western forests trip. Jeff Crites,
operations manager, Great Lakes East R/C region, and
Hocking College graduate, presented Chelsie Kotlar, Forestry
Club secretary, with a check for $2,000.
The funds were used to help with the expenses of the
club's trip. During their trip, the Forestry Club visited several
states and national parks, which included visits to Grand
Canyon National Park, the Sierra Nevada mountains and
Yellowstone National Park.
