We work for R/C, both Davey and The Care of Trees
offices, and we service CLS territories. And then we
work for Utility services, both Davey and Wolf Tree.
Last but not least is Davey Resource Group and WSSI,
so we stay busy. Our No. 1 focus when working on
something is the end user's safety. Our goal is to keep
the crews running safe and working towards keeping
Davey profitable, as we are
employee-owners also.

One thing we do is keep down time to a minimum.
Our night shift oil change crews help control down
time, and we have even done repairs to trucks at
night, too. One thing many Davey employees might
not know about Fleet Services is the mechanical
knowledge our employees have, and how we're
involved in working to help control costs by providing
these services to
Davey operations.

We're on site with four other territories, so we maintain
and keep in compliance all of the equipment for two
different CLS territories and two different residential
offices. It's a unique situation here. I absolutely believe
we're more efficient because everything's in the same
place. I can pull a truck in that has engine issues and
diagnose it right here at the same facility. Whereas
other operations have to send it to a shop, wait for
it to be scheduled,
diagnosed, and then
returned to their facility.
Here, I just pick it up from
out front, do the work and
take it back out front.
