OWNER'S BOX
"
It's us. We own it.
The fact that I can put
money on the side, it's
kind of a retirement
plan as well. It's good
to know employee
ownership has been
in place for 40 years.
That means it works,
and everybody takes
pride in it and wants
to contribute.

KEEPING PLANTS, COMMUNITY HEALTHY
During months of restoration work in a historic garden, Mike Holleran, sales
arborist, got to know Arasapha Garden Club members in Wilmington, Delaware.
So, when they asked him to give a few plant health care presentations at their
annual May Market, he agreed.
"It's nice to be involved in the community. You get to know the people behind
the faces you see," Holleran said. "A lot of people don't know what they're
looking at in older gardens, so they trust us as experts when they call."

RODEO GETS CREWS READY FOR SPRING
Ahead of busy season, Cleveland East territory crews gathered at Davey's East
Campus in May for a start-up rodeo. Training began in the classroom, where
participants brushed up on first aid, CPR training, and handling basic safety issues.
Outside, the group practiced proper stretching techniques, explained proper
mower and 2-cycle safety, and conducted mock job site set ups and briefings.
"The spring rodeo is about setting safety and procedure standards for our office,"
said Chris Jancsurak, production manager. "We cover how our office did last
year, set goals for this year and spend the rest of the day covering issues we
face on a daily basis."
