SALES, CLIENT RELATIONSHIP TRAINING
HELD FOR NORTHEAST ARBORISTS
Sales arborists in the Residential/
Commercial Northeast Operating
Group gathered for introductory sales
and CRM training this spring at the
King of Prussia office.
Phil Snyder, vice president, R/C East
Atlantic Operations, said the Northeast
Operating Group saw a significant
number of sales promotions and
appointments in the past two years.
"As part of this growth strategy, we
remain committed to jumpstarting
the development of professional
selling skills and concepts within our
arborist team," Snyder said. "Nothing
gives me more pride than seeing our
technical-trained staff learn to
commercialize their knowledge."
The training program is designed to
help new and existing sales personnel
strengthen their sales skills and
includes an introduction to Davey's
CRM system.

SOUTHEAST PLANT HEALTH CARE WORKSHOP
Employees from various Residential/
Commercial (R/C) offices gathered in
Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 2019
Southeast Operating Group's Plant
Health Care (PHC) Workshop.
The students learned about insect and
disease management, tree and shrub
pruning, soils and nutrition, plant
identification, diagnostics, pesticide

use and safety and customer service.
They also received hands-on equipment
and maintenance instruction.
The instructors for the workshop were
A.D. Ali, manager of technical services,
Chris Fields-Johnson, technical advisor,
and Ray Betz, district manager,
Charlotte R/C office.
Betz also spoke to the students
about the concepts and practices of
customer service and production
efficiency. The workshop was facilitated
by Keith Frances, operations manager,
Southeast Operating Group.
