Yvonne Arsenault retired Oct. 28, 2018, following 15 years of service. Arsenault was an office coordinator for Davey Golf North. Mark Bennett retired Jan. 13, 2019, following 39 years of service. Bennett was district manager of the Richmond office. Bennett started with Davey in 1979 on the tree care crew of Steve Courchaine in Indianapolis. He attended D.I.T.S. in 1980 and was named a sales and service coordinator in 1981. He was promoted to assistant district manager of the Minneapolis office in 1982 and was promoted to district manager of the Richmond office later that same year. Deborah Bugaj retired Nov. 18, 2018, following 14 years of service. Bugaj was a client experience coordinator in the West Cleveland office. George Dennett retired Nov. 4, 2018, following 15 years of service. Dennett was a foreman in the Needham office. John Martin, II George Hernandez RETIREMENTS Mark Bennett Gery D. Whiteman Richard Whitehead Chet Shallenberger Jim Graham retired Aug. 12, 2018, following 8 years of service. Graham was a landscape technician, Golf North. George Hernandez retired Nov. 11, 2018, following 46 years of service. Hernandez was a utility vegetation management specialist on the PG&E North Bay account. He started with Davey in 1972 as a general foreman in utility services for the Davey Tree Surgery Company. Hernandez transitioned to Davey Resource Group in 2000. Kenneth Jackson retired Sept. 16, 2018, following 5 years of service. Jackson was a foreman on the Detroit Edison account. John Martin II retired Jan. 6, 2019, following 41 years of service. Martin was a sales arborist in the Akron office. Martin joined Davey in 1977 in the corporate office. In 1979 he was appointed a lawn technician in the Akron office. In 1987 he was promoted to sales and service technician. He was promoted to sales arborist in 1990. Martin is a 1989 D.I.T.S. graduate. Derreck Nelson retired Jan. 6, 2019, following 27 years of service. Nelson was a sales arborist in the Charleston office. Donald Picmann retired Nov. 25, 2018, following 1 year of service. Picmann was a mechanic, Golf North. Chet Shallenberger retired Jan. 6, 2019, following 38 years of service. Shallenberger was assistant district manager in the Akron office. Shallenberger started with Davey in 1981 as landscape management coordinator in the Akron office. He held a variety of positions with the office and was promoted to assistant district manager in 2009. Cynthia Smith retired Dec. 30, 2018, following 10 years of service. Smith was a client experience coordinator in The Care of Trees Mt. Kisco office. Pedro Tello retired Nov. 18, 2018, following 15 years of service. Tello was a foreman on the CPS Energy account. Richard Whitehead retired Dec. 23, 2018, following 36 years of service. Whitehead was a sales arborist in The Care of Trees Stamford office.
