Brady was a mechanic in the Columbus shop. Charles Chapman retired Sept. 30, 2018, following 30 years of service. Chapman was an account manager in Eastern Utility services, New England region. He started with Davey in 1988 as a trimmer in Utility services and gradually earned several promotions, including foreman, general foreman and supervisor before being named account manager in 2000. An ISA Certified Arborist, Chapman is a 1990 graduate of D.I.T.S. Mark Grosley retired Sept. 30, 2018, following 2 years of service. Grosley was a UVM technician for Davey Resource Group on the City of Seattle account. David Handt retired Sept. 30, 2018, following 46 years of service. Handt was a safety manager in the corporate safety department. Handt joined Davey in 1972 as a climber on the Tucson Gas and Electric account. In 1976 he transitioned to the PG&E account. In 1987 he was promoted to account manager, and in 1993 he was promoted to area manager. In 2000, Handt was promoted to utility operations manager. In 2007, Handt became a safety manager. That year, he also earned his Tree Care Industry Association CTSP accreditation. He is a past member of the Davey President's Council. Patrick McDermott retired Sept. 30, 2018, following 36 years of service. McDermott was a senior safety coordinator in the corporate safety department. McDermott joined Davey in 1971 as a climber on the San Diego Gas & Electric account. In 1982, he was promoted to foreman. In 1992 he was promoted to safety coordinator. In 1999, he was promoted to senior safety coordinator. In 2007, McDermott became a Tree Care Industry Association Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP). Ronald G. Russell retired Oct. 12, 2018, following 11 years of service. Russell was a heavy equipment operator on the Saskatchewan Power Tree Trimming account. Antonio Tovar retired Sept. 23, 2018, following 2 years of service. Tovar was a trimmer in The Care of Trees, a Davey company, Chicago office. Judith Wightman retired Sept. 9, 2018, following 33 years of service. Wightman was a client experience coordinator in the West Columbus office.
