EGGS MEET FATE
IN BUCKET DROP
For the third year, Davey's Youngstown
R/C office assisted with the Canfield
Presbyterian Church's Annual Giant
Egg Drop for Easter.
The kids participating created different
containers to keep their eggs safe
while falling back to earth from the
bucket truck. Some of the eggs
gracefully floated down, and others
had crash landings. Of the 50 kids
participating only 12 saw their eggs
survive the drop.
Daniel Yoho, district manager, Kevin Crump,
sales arborist, and George Bayer, foreman,
offered their services to drop the eggs from
a Davey bucket truck.
For several years, the Chesapeake
R/C office has been the maintenance
sponsor of Thompson Park in Easton,
Maryland, along side the park's main
sponsor, the Garden Club of the
Eastern Shore.
The park was once in disarray, but local
organizations have banded together
to ensure this park stays beautiful.
The Chesapeake office provides lawn
care, spraying and seeding for the
park, said Dave Piver, sales arborist.
In the spring, the office also does a
spring cleanup and prunes the trees.
"It's been awesome for us," Piver
said. "The response we've gotten
from not only the community, but
also the members of the garden
club in the way of having us out to
their property and doing services,
has been tremendous."

The park is in the town's historic district, near restaurants and professional buildings.
This small park is frequented daily by people looking for a great place to have lunch
or a place to relax.
