OF THE
TELLING THE DAVEY STORY IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
"
I've been with Davey for five years now. There's never a dull
moment. As I travel to sites for different projects, the amount
of things I've learned has resulted in a long list that is going to
continue to grow. I don't even need to try to keep up the motto
of 'never stop learning.' Every day, I learn on the job. It happens
naturally. And, as I complete each job successfully, being an
employee-owner gives that more meaning. I know I've contrib-
uted to not just my own benefit, but the benefit of others.

Through The Davey Bulletin, we strive to tell the Davey
story. Together we all speak to a familiar audience –
Davey employees – by combining original reporting with
your submissions.
The goal of this endeavor hearkens back decades to the
Bulletin mission statement, which once appeared in every
issue and proudly declared its objective being "to weld
together the plans, the purposes, and the hopes of all
members of the Davey organization, and to bind in closer
unity all Davey personnel."
To do this, we rely on your submissions. Davey is growing
rapidly, and not every good deed, proud moment or job
well done can fit between these 30 or so pages. Stories
like those of a Davey crew working in Sugar Grove, Illinois,
can go untold. They went above and beyond the call of duty
by contacting the city to help a non-client get a fallen limb
removed (in time for a graduation party no less). The smiling
faces of a Las Vegas crew, who volunteered to help their
community remove an invasive tree species for Earth Day,
might not make it into the issue.
Fortunately, Davey's corporate communications team
also manages the Davey Company's official social media
accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram,
where we can speak publicly to thousands of employees,
clients and potential clients. Here, we're creating new
spaces, to complement the Bulletin mission, to continue
telling the Davey story. In these social spaces, we tout your
great examples of excellent service experiences, employee
strengths and community support to an audience of more
than just your fellow employees.
So keep those submissions coming. Even if they don't all
make the Bulletin, we're still sharing your stories. And if
you don't already, find and follow Davey on social media.
You just might see a story or two you've never heard before.
