I am writing to express my gratitude and compliments to the crew of Davey Tree Canada who are contracted to clear (hydro) lines in the Nelson – Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada, corridor. I have recently returned from business travel to find a row of about 40 trees located underneath the service lines to my home removed. Prior to departing, I spoke with the crew and advised them that they were welcome to remove the trees entirely (versus topping) should that have merit insofar as maintaining safe clearance in the future. The crew members were attentive and gentlemanly as we discussed the Troy Howe (l to r), Kyle Duguay and Lon Lechthaler option(s) and assured me, if Fortis BC approved the work, they would attend to the task as soon as possible and take care not to, otherwise, disturb the property. Upon examination, what remained were nothing but manageable sections of each stem most suitable for firewood. Not a branch, if not needle, remained. This crew in particular deserves recognition as they were safe, efficient, professional and respectful of affected landowners. Donald Helbecque Castlegar, BC May/June 2016 | 7 Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. We contracted WSSI after another natural resource consulting firm was unable to obtain Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 and 401 permits for the desired development plan of the Downs Park project in Loudoun County. Without WSSI's efforts, and success, in obtaining the required permits, development of Downs Park would have not been economically viable, and we cannot thank WSSI enough for their consultancy and can-do attitude. James W. Murty Managing Director Jones Lang LaSalle Construction Company, Inc. Washington, D.C. Northeast Detroit R/C office We have contracted with Davey Tree in Michigan on two occasions. In both instances they were nothing short of excellent! I would rate their arborist as excellent, as well – very knowledgeable and very pleasant. Davey will be the only company we will contact for any future work. Wendy Berry St. Clair Shores, Michigan Toronto Northwest office Johl Anderson Davey Tree was at our house this year, under the guidance of Johl Anderson, and we hope to see both improved growth and less damage to our trees. I compliment all the members of your staff in the manner in which they worked in our yard. The clean-up at the end of a day's work was complete and tidy. Beverly Schaeffer Thornhill, Ontario Akron R/C office I read with great interest in the Fall issue of "Growing Together" the inspiring article of the Davey volunteer crew at our Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville. I am very proud to be a customer of a company that gives of their time and talent to honor our American heroes. My best to all who participated! Kathy Tipping Fairlawn, Ohio CHARLESTON R/C OFFICE Terry Corns, Bo Gillispie I would like to say thanks for assigning Bo Gillispie and Terry Corns to remove the large, diseased poplar tree located behind my house. They really did an excellent job from start to finish. I believe that such good service should be recognized and rewarded. Other people in my neighborhood have commented on the good job these young men did on the tree. That kind of positive recognition can only help your business. Sharon Kuharich Winfield, West Virginia Terry Corns, left, and Bocephus Gillispie FORTIS AB ACCOUNT Troy Howe, Kyle Duguay
