DAVEY TURNS 1 ON INSTAGRAM
This February marked the first
anniversary of Davey's Instagram
account. Fittingly, the channel reached
a milestone of sorts by exceeding
600 followers.
Our audience may be small when
compared with the giants of the
Instagram world–think Taylor Swift's
60.7 million followers. Yet the
@DaveyTree account towers above
many in the tree care industry.
Organizations such as the Tree Care
Industry Association (243 followers),
the International Society of
Arboriculture (69 followers) and
Bartlett Tree Experts (64 followers) are
mere saplings, while Davey's account
already has a modest canopy.
Other competitors, and even some
tree care organizations, have yet to
sign on to Instagram. That's surprising
because in September the photo-based
mobile platform surpassed 400 million
users–almost 75 million more users
than are on Twitter.
