The Austin R/C office won a 2014
Certificate of Excellence from the Central
Texas Chapter of Associated Builders and
Contractors. The award recognizes Davey's
involvement with a project at the KIPP
Austin Public Schools – South Campus and
exemplary contribution to the construction
industry in the Central Texas area.
Kimberly Ball is a graduate of the
2015 class of Leadership Portage
County, a community-based leadership
program that provides educational
and networking opportunities for
professionals working in Portage
County. The graduation ceremony took
place on May 7 at Hiram College. Ball,
operations manager for client services
at the corporate office, played a lead
role in the renovation of a youth room
at a local homeless shelter as part of
the Leadership class project.
Tracy Hughes was inducted as one of Fortis College's first members
of the Hall of Fame. She was chosen out of 21 alumni from the
Ravenna, Ohio, school, along with two other women. Hughes holds
two associate's degrees from Fortis, including a business administration
degree earned in 2004 and a degree in human resource management,
earned online in 2011. "It is an honor to be recognized and to receive
this award," she says. Hughes works in the accounts payable department
at Davey's corporate office.

test. He's
now one
step closer
to becoming
an ISA certi-
fied arborist.
"Our office
has always
encouraged our staff to improve and
advance themselves in the company," says
Dan Richardt, district manager at The
Care of Tree's (TCOT's) Glen Ellyn office.
Jane, foreman at the Glen Ellyn office,
hopes to further his Davey career to
management after becoming a certified

Dagoberto Monrroy-Castillo has passed the International
Society of Arboriculture certified arborist exam, as well as
earned his herbicide license. "We continually emphasize that
all employees should have a commitment and responsibility
to excel in their positions," says Mike Mittiga, operations
manager, Gulf region. "Dago has taken the initiative and
succeeded in these challenges. He is what we look for in future
advancement." Monrroy-Castillo is general foreman on the
Orlando Utilities account. Great job, Dago!
