Field Inventory, Verification and Mapping of Facilities,
Poles and Equipment
DRG inventories and maps poles, hardware and facilities for a variety of utility solutions,
including an upgrade of a geographic information system, load and engineering studies, and
maintenance and restoration needs. We use the Global Positioning System (GPS) to precisely
locate and collect data in the field, and we provide customized
data dictionaries for collected records to suit a client's needs and specifications.
• We routinely provide clients with circuit mapping, including connectivity and phasing.
• DRG constructs circuit maps while performing other tasks, such as pole inspections.
Joint-Use Audit, Inspection and Inventories
DRG collects or updates joint-use pole information. Through a field inventory of poles with cable
television or other attachments, we identify and record the locations and ownership of each pole.
Our effective data collection services utilize pen-based computers and GPS technologies, with
data delivered directly to your geographical information systems.
We provide efficient, accurate, and verifiable information that allows you to invoice companies
with which you may have joint-use agreements. We also examine poles for National Electric
Safety Code (NESC) violations that may exist due to attachments.
As part of our right-of-way management services, DRG performs visual inspections for any
damaged, broken, missing, potentially hazardous, or otherwise non-serviceable facilities.
Inspection services also can include internal, external, and ground line examinations through
traditional methods or the latest resistance and density measuring technologies.
