T&T Park, the home of the San
Francisco Giants, sits on the edge
of the San Francisco bay and boasts views
of the Bay Bridge and the East Bay hills,
offering some of the grandest ballpark
scenes in the country.
Long before the park's opening in 2000,
Stephen Rounds, Davey Resource Group
project coordinator of urban forestry of
the western region, was rooting for the
Giants, through good and not-so-great
seasons. He has especially been enjoying

the team's more recent successes and
passionately roots for the Giants, the
ballpark and the game of baseball.
"I became a fan in high school," Rounds
says about his love of the Giants. "My
friends and I would pile in a car and drive
up to Candlestick Park for games throughout
the summer, when tickets were $2."
Rounds took his MyDavey Bulletin to
the Giants' stadium, where he goes about
10 times a year for games. "The Giants won
their first of the two recent World Series
Championships in San Francisco, which
was a dream come true," he says. "When we
go to games, we take the ferry over to the
stadium from Marin County, where we live.
It's a special experience to enjoy the natural
beauty of the bay and baseball all in the
same evening."
Rounds met his fiancée, Paula, through
his love of the team; three years ago, the
two went on their first date to a Giants game.
