There was extensive damage to EPB's system, and there were 27,000 customers without power from thousands of fallen trees and branches. Power was restored in three days. That could not have been done without each one of you and your group's hard work and professionalism, working around the clock. I was especially impressed at how everyone worked together through the night, Friday— Valentine's Day—to inspect and correct 207 "tree-on-line, non-outage incidents." This was a big step in speeding up the power restoration. I'm thankful to get to work with such a great group of folks, and I believe we have the best team at EPB—it's due to each one of you! They told me they were here to cut down and dispose of a very large oak tree in my backyard. What constant, hard-working men they were, continuously cleaning up as they went along. The following day, they returned to complete the job. They also cleaned out dead- wood in three other trees. Thank you, too, to Matt and Charles who did a bang-up job grinding the stump and cleaning up so well afterward. They all did an exemplary job, and I'm very pleased with their work.
