Get to Know... Jonathan Denning
When did you start at Davey
and what was your role?
I started in the fall of 2018,
and I was a trimmer.
What is your current title
and responsibilities? I'm a
foreman. I mainly teach the
crew the right way and the
safe way to get the job done.
What's one of your most
memorable projects that
you've been a part of? I went
to a roping and rigging class
a few months ago in Florida,
and when I came back, I
actually had to use the roping
and rigging system. That helped
me out a lot.
Who is someone at Davey who has had a significant
impact on your career? I would have to say Vincent
Boyd, our supervisor. He used to be my foreman when
I was coming up, and he taught me all the things I know.
What is your favorite music genre? Country. My
favorite artist growing up has always been George Strait.
What is something you'd want to be famous for?
I'd want to be famous for helping others out when I can.
What is something you like to do outside of Davey?
I like spending time at the park with my kids and wife on
the weekends. I also enjoy fishing and working on trucks
as a hobby.
