Photo credit: Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation All 12 members of the 2024 Davey President's Council joined council- leader Pat Covey, Davey chairman, president and CEO, by volunteering with Davey's local partner Ben Curtis Family Foundation to pack 1,500 Birdie Bags for local Northeast Ohio food-insecure school children. Chris Dempsey, regional manager, Eastern region, Commercial Landscape Services, said, "We were fortunate to have the opportunity to join Ben Curtis along with several of his family members and local volunteers in filling Birdie Bags for food-insecure children in the community. It was an all-hands-on deck team effort, and we had a blast doing it." Davey's President's Council members are nominated and selected by their peers to serve a three-year term. Members engage in communications to understand and build relationships between Davey's operating and administrative segments, identify and discuss business challenges, and gain a better understanding of the company's objectives, values, and long-term vision. PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL PACKS BAGS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED Davey President's Council members volunteered by packing Birdie Bags for local Northeast Ohio food-insecure school children. The 2024 President's Council includes: due to her leg being stuck in one of the branches, in Deer Park, Illinois. Guzman climbed the tree and roped off the branch that the goose was hanging from before pruning it, enabling him to safely lower her to the ground. The goose sustained no serious injuries, and Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation took her in to provide medical care. Davey's President's Council packs Birdie Bags with the Ben Curtis Family Foundation. The Birdie Bag program serves 12 school districts. Each bag contains six meals, four snacks, a travel-sized toiletry kit, and a toothbrush. Commercial Landscape Services: Chris Dempsey*, regional manager, Eastern region.
