WESTERN R/C MANAGERS ATTEND SAFETY TRAINING
Twenty-seven employees from 13 Residential/Commercial
(R/C) services offices came together for a two-day
health and safety training for managers, held in Scotts
Valley, California.
R/C services managers in the region, led by Kevin Marks,
operations manager, Western operations, and Travis Evans,
market manager, Bay Area operations, requested an
in-person training to supplement the Learning Management
System course, H&S Training for Managers. Topics covered
included leadership, Human and Organizational Performance,
mentorship, safety training records, trust and psychological
safety, incident response, state-run Occupational Safety
and Health Administration programs, motor carrier safety,
and gear inspection.
Attendee Thomas Martinez, assistant district manager,
Santa Clara office, said the training will aid him in future
situations when safety topics arise on the job.
"I now know who to reach out to on the safety team
when I need an expert's advice," Martinez said. "Having
a dedicated team of professionals who are knowledgeable
on specific safety needs is invaluable to our daily jobs."
Managers and leaders from Residential/Commercial (R/C) services offices in California, Nevada, Oregon, and
Washington gathered for an in-person health and safety training they named "The Safety Bonanza,"presented
by the health and safety department, R/C services, and support staff.
