28 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | May/June 2024 Richard Arredondo retired March 2, 2024, following 16 years of service. Arredondo was a sales and service coordinator at the West San Antonio office. Daniel Brink retired April 6, 2024, following 45 years of service. Brink joined the company in 2008 through The Care of Trees acquisition as an assistant controller. He became a business analyst at the Chicago Support Services office in 2020, where he stayed until retirement. Russell Brooks retired April 5, 2024, following 44 years of service. Brooks joined the company in 1979 as a groundperson, Florida Power Corporation account. He became a trimmer in 1980, a foreman in 1983, and then a supervisor in 1993. Brooks transferred to the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative account in 1994, and then to the Clay Electric Cooperative account in 2005. He was promoted to senior supervisor later that year and then became an account manager in 2008, the role he stayed in until retirement. David Dechant retired March 31, 2024, following 18 years of service. Dechant was a sales arborist at the Arborguard Tree Specialists, Atlanta office. William DiGiammarino retired March 30, 2024, following 33 years of service. DiGiammarino joined the company in 1990 as a mail clerk, corporate office. He became a building maintenance technician in 1993, the role he stayed in until retirement. Ray Hannebique retired March 30, 2024, following 22 years of service. Hannebique joined Davey in 2001 as a project manager, Davey Resource Group (DRG), and was promoted to regional operations manager, DRG, in 2007, later becoming eastern regional vice president, contract services, Utility Vegetation Management consulting operations, DRG. In 2021, he was named vice president of pipeline management, Eastern Utility services, the role he stayed in until retirement. Hannebique is a past member of the President's Council. Marvin Hassell retired March 9, 2024, following 44 years of service. Hassell joined the company in 1979 as a groundperson, Florida Power Corporation account. He was promoted to foreman in 1984, to supervisor in 1985, and then to senior supervisor in 1990. Hassell became an account manager in 1995, an area manager in 2000, and an operations manager in 2013. In 2015, he was named vice president, Gulf region, Eastern Utility, and in 2020, was named senior vice president, Gulf region, where he stayed until retirement. Hassell is a 1986 D.I.T.S. graduate, an ISA Certified Arborist ® , and a past member of the President's Council. He received the Outstanding Manager Award in 2013. Antonio Martinez retired March 26, 2024, following 5 years of service. Martinez was a landscape technician, Woodlawn Cemetery territory, Commercial Landscape Services (CLS). Carlos Moreno retired March 1, 2024, following 5 years of service. Moreno was a spray technician with the Ave Maria territory, CLS. Agustin Rodriguez retired March 8, 2024, following 18 years of service. Rodriguez was a foreman on the City of Palo Alto account, Davey Tree Surgery Company. Elizabeth Selzer retired March 23, 2024, following 27 years of service. Selzer joined the company in 1996 as a senior accountant, corporate, then became an operations administrator for DRG. She was promoted to department manager of operational accounting and administration for DRG's utility market segments in 2017, a position she held until retirement. Miles Stephens retired March 30, 2024, following 40 years of service. Stephens joined the company in 1983 as a lawnscape technician at the West Pittsburgh Lawnscape office. He became an S&S technician and transferred to the North Atlanta office in 1985, and then became a sales arborist in 1990. Stephens transferred to the West Pittsburgh office in 1991 and then to the South Pittsburgh office a year later, where he became a landscape management coordinator. He was promoted to assistant district manager in 1996 and then to district manager later that year. In 2023, he became an S&S coordinator, the role he stayed in until retirement.
