While driving around the Margaritaville territory in Daytona
Beach, Florida, at the end of the day on a John Deere Gator,
Lincoln Adams, project manager, Commercial Landscape
Services (CLS), and Carrie Wagner, production manager, CLS,
watched as a resident's
small dog named Pepper,
got loose, and ran away
from her. Adams and
Wagner both jumped
into action and began
searching for the lost
dog after the owner
expressed concern of
Pepper getting eaten by
an alligator.
Adams, who knows the
property and its residents
well, told the distraught
dog owner to post about
the runaway dog on the Latitude Margaritaville's community
Facebook page, and within minutes a crowd of residents
began to aid in missing Pepper's rescue. The dog was later
found around eight that night.
"I would want someone to help me if my dog ran away,"
Adams said. "For some in the community, their pets are
their family, so it made sense to help."

While trimming a neighboring house's trees, St. Louis office
employees Sam Beyer, foreman, and Steve Hawks, trimmer,
were approached to help rescue a cat named Mango, who
had been stuck in a walnut tree about 40 feet up and in low
temperatures overnight.
"Your moral compass tells you to
help if you can," Hawks said.
"It was really lucky we happened
to be there that day and we were
able to help her."
