DAVEY AROUND THE WORLD
Paul Spacht, building maintenance engineer, corporate office,
has been an avid skier since 1978. This winter, Spacht and a
group of his friends enjoyed their annual five-day ski trip to
several different resorts near Denver, Colorado.
Spacht and friends have a routine when they get off the
plane, which includes going to their favorite restaurant,
McCoy's, staying at Beaver Creek Resort, and then going to
their desired skiing location for the day.
"The best part of the trip was being out there in the altitude
with the sunshine," said Spacht. "It's the freedom of going
out there and doing whatever you want, whenever you want."

Scott Gardner, district manager, Burnaby Residential office,
Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited, recently spent
a week and a half in Italy attending a friend's wedding and
visiting the cities of Florence, Siena, and Rome. He and his
fiancé, Amanda, spent their time visiting wineries, exploring
museums, and taking in the historical streets and sites.
"I was the most impressed with the architecture and their
way of living," Gardner said. "It was like going back in time
seeing the history that exists in every street and building."
Gardner and his fiancé travel frequently. Last year, they were
able to visit her home country of Australia and this year,
they plan to travel to Alaska in addition to planning for their
honeymoon in France.
