26 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | November/December 2023 Clyde Belden retired Dec. 30, 2022, following 12 years of service. Belden was a foreman, Great Lakes Energy account, Eastern Utility services. Ronald Cook retired Sept. 21, 2023, following 25 years of service. Cook joined Davey as a trimmer for the Tampa Electric account, Eastern Utility services in 1991. He served in various roles within Utility services before transferring back to the Tampa Electric account, where he stayed until retirement. William Esson retired April 1, 2023, following five years of service. Esson was a PHC technician, Las Vegas office. Winfred Gibson retired May 6, 2023, following 53 years of service. Gibson started his Davey career following an acquisition of Wolf Tree, Inc., a Davey company, in 2008 as an assistant supervisor on the Sevier County Electric System account. In 2009, he became a foreman for the account and remained in that role until retirement. Marnie Gray retired April 14, 2023, following 34 years of service. Gray joined the accounts receivable department at Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited's corporate office in 1989. In 1997, she was promoted to office manager of the payroll department. Gray joined the operations team as an executive assistant in 2015 and stayed in that role until retirement. Mike Gray retired June 30, 2023, following 34 years of service. Gray began his career in 1989 as a groundperson at the Toronto West office, later being promoted to foreman, sales arborist, and in 1994, assistant district manager. In 1999, he was promoted to district manager, a role he held until retirement. Sharon Harless retired Dec. 31, 2022, following 24 years of service. Harless was an environmental scientist and specialist lead for Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company. Joe Hashman retired Jan. 2, 2023, following 43 years of service. Hashman started his career in 1979 as a foreman at the Akron office and remained in that role until retirement. He was a 1990 D.I.T.S. graduate. Gary Hunt retired Oct. 1, 2023, following seven years of service. Hunt was a landscape crew leader, Detroit North Maintenance territory, Commercial Landscape Services. Jose Martinez retired Sept. 8, 2023, following 20 years of service. Martinez was a foreman at the Richmond office. Howard Morgan retired March 31, 2023, following 18 years of service. Morgan was a trimmer, Jersey City Power & Light account, Eastern Utility. Theron Peck retired Aug. 29, 2023, following 15 years of service. Peck was an S&S technician at the Chippers, a Davey company's Enfield office. John Pelle retired Oct. 1, 2023, following 16 years of service. Pelle was a mechanic at the Boulder office. Donald Wells retired July 1, 2023, following 32 years of service. Wells started his career as a sales arborist trainee at the Columbus office in 1990. In 1999, he was promoted to sales arborist and then transferred to the West Columbus office in 2011. In 2021, he was promoted to assistant district manager and stayed in that role until retirement.
