I started at Davey in 1998 around the end of October and the beginning of November as a groundman. 2. What is your current title and responsibilities? As a foreman, I kind of get to do a little bit of everything. My responsibilities range from operating the log truck and mowing on the high lines to performing stump grinding and planting trees. 3. What is one of your most memorable projects you've been a part of? My favorite project I get to do every year is participating in the Saluting Branches program at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, Rhode Island. We load the log truck with trees to plant and I sometimes bring my own stump grinder to grind stumps when needed. As a veteran, it's moving to be able to go and work at the cemetery to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. 4. Who is someone at Davey who has had a significant impact on your career? There isn't one specific person because everyone at Davey has had an impact on my career. Most of the people that I work with have been here for 25 years or more, so we know each other very well. There's a lot of camaraderie that makes us very close, and we're a family. 5. What is your favorite music genre? I like to listen to a lot of old-time rock and roll. I like the Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. 6. What would you be famous for? I'd be famous for being the world's best grandpa. I've got four grown children and eight grandchildren, and they love us to death. That's what my wife and I live for.
