FOUNDATION FOR NEW SEED CAMPUS BUILDING TAKES ROOT
LEADERSHIP
Below right, excavation is under way for the ponds that will be used to
irrigate the property's landscaping. All storm water will be managed and
contained on-site. As of early summer, more than 43,000 cubic yards of
soil had been moved or stockpiled. About 16,000 linear feet of silt fence
has been installed for storm water management during construction.
Crews install rammed aggregate piers for the foundation of the SEED Campus building.
More than 500 piers were installed by drilling deep into the soil, filling the drilled holes
with gravel and then tamping the aggregate down so it becomes highly compacted.
