28 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | May/June 2023 Tammy Basista retired April 1, 2023, following 18 years of service. Basista was a client experience coordinator, Youngstown office. Ismael Calvillo retired April 1, 2023, following 17 years of service. Calvillo was a foreman, PG&E Southern Coast account. William Cottle retired April 2, 2023, following 29 years of service. Cottle started with Davey in 1993 as a senior supervisor, Eastern Utility services. He became a general foreman in 2001, then transferred to data collection, Davey Resource Group (DRG) later that year. Cottle held various DRG project and field manager positions throughout his career. He was promoted to area manager in 2018 and stayed in that role until retirement. David Gingrich retired March 4, 2023, following 28 years of service. Gingrich started with Davey in 1994 as a sales arborist, Boston North Shore office. He was promoted to district manager in 2001, then transferred to the Needham office. In 2011, Gingrich became an assistant district manager, then moved back to a sales arborist in 2013, and served the rest of his career in that role. Susan Mullinary retired April 2, 2023, following 26 years of service. Mullinary was a client experience coordinator, South Baltimore office. Greg Myers retired April 2, 2023, following 16 years of service. Myers started with Davey in 2007 as a branch manager, Detroit Southwest territory. He transferred to CLS Midwest and was promoted to regional manager in 2013. In 2016, Myers was promoted to vice president, and served the rest of his career in that role. Larry Sarina retired April 2, 2023, following 18 years of service. Sarina was an area manager, Davey Tree Surgery Company. Don Winsett retired April 2, 2023, following 10 years of service. Winsett joined Davey as vice president, Davey Business Development Team, and stayed in that role until retirement. He served on the board of directors, is a past president of the ISA Florida Chapter, and was a chair of the Sustainable Urban Forest Coalition. Gina Wolf retired March 4, 2023, following 9 years of service. Wolf was a client experience coordinator, Southeast Seattle office. He was one of the original employee owners who made a financial commitment to make the purchase of the company from the Davey family possible in 1979. He was part of the 1982 planning committee to consider the concept of building a new corporate office. In 1984, he was appointed executive vice president and general manager of the Kent company. Eckel is the author of the 1990 book, Growing & Staffing Your Business: A Practical, Tried-and-True, How-To Guide. William Cottle David Gingrich Howard Eckel Retiree Howard Eckel passed away on March 7, 2023, at the age of 92. Eckel retired in 1985 as an executive vice president and director after 22 years of service. He joined Davey as a sales representative, later holding the position of regional manager, Utility sales; and in 1974, became vice president, Atlantic region.
