DAVEY AROUND THE WORLD The Davey Tree Expert Company P.O. Box 5193 Kent, Ohio 44240-5193 Jim Sienkiewicz, project manager, Davey Resource Group, Utility Vegetation Management services, is pictured on Mossy Cave Turret Arch Trail at Bryce Canyon National Park with hoodoos as a backdrop. Hoodoos are pillars of rock with a variable thickness, made up of soft sandstone, and capped by a layer of rock that is more erosion-resistant. Bryce Canyon boasts the largest concentration of hoodoos in the world. Sienkiewicz noted the hoodoos and pink-orange rocks at Bryce Canyon are particularly stunning. Traveling with his family, including his wife Alicia, daughter Anna, and son Finnegan, Sienkiewicz vacationed in St. George, Utah, and they took the opportunity to explore two of Utah's five national parks. They enjoyed multiple hikes in both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. "Nothing is better or more important than spending quality time with your family, especially in nature. I'm so fortunate for the opportunity to do so," Sienkiewicz said.
