CLIMATE CHANGE IN YOUR
NECK OF THE WOODS
The Davey Institute has released a
series of Climate Change Fact Sheets
this fall. These fact sheets explain
projected impacts of climate change
on trees over the next 30 to 70 years.
The climate change fact sheets are
designed to help local arborists and
landscape professionals understand
specifically how trees and plants
where you live may be affected.
The fact sheets break the U.S. into
seven regions. Turn to page 10 to
learn more about the projected
impacts of climate change in your
neck of the woods, and to see how
you can prepare to help your clients
understand anticipated forthcoming
changes in their landscapes.
POLLINATOR HAVENS
Pollinator populations have been
in decline in recent years, and the
latest news is not much better.
The American bumblebee is being
considered for inclusion on the
endangered species list by the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as
populations dwindle in the face of
habitat loss and other factors.
That's why Davey's work as an
environmental steward is more
important than ever.
If you want some news to make you
smile, turn to page 14 and read about
how Davey Resource Group and the
Davey Institute are partnering with
utility clients to help their rights-of-way
become havens for pollinators.
TRAINING REVAMPED
Davey's Residential/Commercial
services skills trainers have been
added to the Factors and Forces
Training program curriculum.
The revamped Factors and Forces
was rolled out to West Coast R/C
operations in Livermore, California,
this summer.

BULLETIN READER SURVEY
In October, we asked employees to
share their opinions on the Bulletin.
We asked what you like to read, what
you don't like to read, how you like
your Bulletin delivered and more.
The survey, which was available
through DaveyConnect, closed in
November. We are reviewing your
feedback, and our goal is to make
adjustments to the news and stories
in the Bulletin starting in 2022 to give
readers more of what you want and
less of what you don't.
Thank you to everyone who took the
time to respond to our survey.
