DAVEY CONSIDERING STOCK SUBSCRIPTION OFFERING IN 2022
became employee owned in 1979, with the most recent
subscription being offered in 2012. Historically, most
subscriptions have been for a seven-year period.
Davey employees who meet set criteria are able to finance
the purchase of their shares via
a low-interest loan obtained from
the company. A 10 percent down
payment is required at the time
of the purchase. Loans are
repaid by payroll deduction or
annual payment over the term
of the subscription.
Two planned format changes
for the next subscription are:
• Loan repayments by payroll deduction will occur
once a month
• The number of shares employees can purchase
will be in predetermined amounts
The next Davey stock subscription is anticipated to be
offered in August 2022. Official documents regarding the
program would be mailed in early Q2 of 2022.
The Davey Company is currently considering a Stock
Subscription Offering for eligible employees in 2022.
A stock subscription is a formal agreement between the
company and an employee to purchase company stock
at a set price for a pre-determined period of time. A stock
subscription offering allows employees to purchase shares
at the current market price at the time of the offering.
All employees with at least 90 days of continuous service
at the date of the offering would be eligible to participate
in a stock subscription.
Davey has held four stock subscriptions since the company

environmental stewardship. Last year, the field water
use was 174,603 cubic meters, a decrease of almost
5,500 cubic meters from the year prior.

A focus on company values played a strong role in the
2020 update to the Davey Corporate Responsibility Report
(CRR). The 2020 CRR emphasizes our safety performance
and Road to Zero incident reduction efforts. Each year,
Davey continues to decrease our Total Recordable Incident
Rate (TRIR), and 2020 continued a downward trend,
recording a 4.48 TRIR companywide.
Perseverance played a key role in 2020 as well, with
one example from the CRR being the implementation of
sonic tomography to detect tree decay to more accurately
determine the risk a tree poses to the landscape. This new
service, offered through the Davey Institute in the United
States and Canada, is a non-invasive technology available
to all service lines.
In 2020, Davey started researching alternative product
application techniques in a trial study to reduce our water
use by 5 to 10 percent each year as part of our focus on
