34 THE DAVEY BULLETIN | May/June 2021 Mike Barton retired Feb. 28, 2021, following 28 years of service. Barton served his entire career at the Santa Clara office, beginning in 1990 as a sales arborist and serving as a sales and service coordinator, assistant district manager, and district manager. He is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist ® and is certified by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) in aerial rescue and electrical hazards. Diana De Leon retired Feb. 28, 2021, following 25 years of service. She was a client experience coordinator (CEC) at the West San Antonio office. De Leon started with Davey in 1995 as a secretary before she was promoted to office manager in 1998. Faaaliga Faleumu retired Feb. 14, 2021, following 31 years of service. He was a supervisor on the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Tree Trimming account. Faleumu started his career in 1989 as a foreman on the SDG&E account. During his time at Davey, Faleumu worked as foreman, general foreman and supervisor. He is a 2003 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) Richard Foote retired March 28, 2021, following 45 years of service. Foote was vice president of business development and client services, Residential/ Commercial (R/C) services. Foote began his career with Davey in 1976 as a lawnscape technician at the Akron office before moving to the Pittsburgh office as a sales arborist the following year. He was promoted to district manager of the Buffalo office in 1978. From 1979 to 1995, Foote served as Mike Barton Faaaliga Faleumu Richard Foote production manager, operations manager, area manager and regional manager for R/C services. He oversaw the integration of the B.D. Wilhelm Company in 1995, cementing Davey's R/C presence in the Denver market. In 2006 he was promoted to operations manager in charge of acquisitions and expansion for R/C services, and in 2007 he was promoted to vice president of operations in charge of acquisition and integration of R/C services. In 2011 he was named vice president of business development and client services for R/C client services. Foote is a past member of the Davey President's Council and is an ISA Certified Arborist ® . Dortha "Dottie" Harkness retired Feb. 21, 2021, following 37 years of service. Harkness has been an accounting clerk at the Livermore office since starting with Davey in 1983.
