SHARE FEEDBACK WITH DAVEY VOICE Davey is committed to mutual accountability, team work, and to "Do it right or not at all," as our founder John Davey often said. A new employee resource, Davey Voice, offers employees an avenue to provide feedback, raise concerns and seek support on workplace issues. This new, web-based feedback tool is accessible to employees simply by scanning the QR code on page 7. RELENTLESS STORMS This year's Atlantic hurricane season has proven immensely destructive to communities and demanding of Davey employees. As of early November – the season ends Nov. 30 – there had already been 29 tropical or subtropical cyclones, 28 named storms, 12 hurricanes and five major hurricanes. In this issue alone we cover Davey's response to three hurricanes in the Gulf Coast region. For our coverage, "travelin' man" Richald Plumb shared how he and his crews had responded directly to three major storms for Davey. After this Bulletin issue went into production, Richald called to share his team had hit the road again – responding first to Hurricane Zeta, which hit the Louisiana cost as a Category 2 hurricane in late October, and then Hurricane Eta in Daytona, Florida. We thank all of our Davey crews who have responded to storms this year to help communities recover. Stay safe! DAVEY AROUND THE … NEIGHBORHOOD? The COVID-19 pandemic has cut travel for everyone. One small ripple effect of this has been a lack of submissions for the Bulletin Davey Around the World. Rightly so, Davey employees are smartly staying home as much as possible. It's the safest course of action. One silver lining of the pandemic has been an increase in folks exercising by walking their neighborhoods more. So, how about a "Davey Around the Neighborhood" section? We're asking employees to take photos of beautiful trees they encounter out walking the neighborhood, hiking in a local park, or even a favorite client's tree. If you can, let's keep the spirit alive and get photos of you with your Bulletin issues. Don't forget, masks on! Send your neighborhood tree photos to bulletin@davey.com, and look for them in upcoming Bulletin issues. Matt Fredmonsky ROOT OF THE ISSUE
