BULLETIN IS REFLECTION OF YOU
You may have noticed how photographs
in the last few Bulletins have started
looking a little different compared with
issues before the COVID-19 outbreak.
The coronavirus outbreak has changed
the way you work. You're wearing face
coverings when working within 6 feet
of each other. You're not gathering in
large groups. These regulations and
others mean the way Davey employees
work looks different than it did five
months ago.
The Davey Bulletin is a reflection of
you. Of course, the Bulletin has started
looking different, too.
All these changes in the how the
Bulletin looks reinforce the importance
of practicing and adhering to the
company policies issued in response to
COVID-19, with the ultimate goal being
to ensure the safety of our employees,
our clients and our communities.
TRAINING ADAPTS TO
COVID-19
In true Davey style, our employees
have adapted to the challenges
posed by work-from-home scenarios,
social distancing requirements and
travel restrictions.
Educating our employees is a core
element of Davey culture. And that
education continues virtually despite
the COVID-19 outbreak.
This issue of the Bulletin includes
two special features on training
and education. One highlights
pre-COVID-19 common training and
education procedures. The other
showcases how our employees
have adapted to the need to continue
elevating crews' arboriculture
knowledge using digital tools.
Davey employees have shown a
willingness to embrace new policies
and technologies in a matter of weeks,
and it's a testament to the company's
perseverance throughout its 140
years of existence.
Do you have an interesting story
showing how your team has adapted
to COVID-19? Share it with us in an
email to bulletin@davey.com.
TEXT-MESSAGE RECRUITING
This issue also highlights how Davey's
recruiting team has turned to texting
to attract new employees.
Job candidates who text "Davey Jobs"
to 91385 will receive an auto-response
text back with a link to learn more
about jobs at Davey.
This new recruiting tool is yet another
example of how innovative and
resilient Davey employees can be,
especially in challenging times.
Read more about this new recruiting
initiative on page 9.
