SOUTHERN ADAPTATIONS FOR D.I.G.M.
Commercial Landscape Services (CLS) held the inaugural
Davey Institute of Grounds Management (DIGM) South to
cater the program to landscape and grounds management
issues indigenous to the southern states.
A total 25 Davey CLS employees attended the five-day
training session held in Jacksonville, Florida, in January.
Mark Svozil, vice president and general manager, CLS, said
the new DIGM South does not replace the original DIGM,
which is held in March at the Davey Institute.
"There's a waiting list for DIGM," Svozil said. "Each year
we get far more applications than we have space for. We
recognized also that we needed to enhance and personalize
the training to better suit employees in the South."
Employees who attended the inaugural DIGM South in January included:
Lincoln Adams, Tim Blanchard, Chelsey Blood, Ben Davis, James
Ferguson, Joshua Fields, Calvin Gordon, Vanez Hardy, William
Hayes, Ryan Holland, Keauntay Lowe, Harold Quinones, David
Raine, George Redmond, Ashley Roberts, Antonio Ruvalcaba,
Klayton Soucy, Gary Thomas, Dantrell Thompson, Chad Tyson,
Ben Wasielewski, Mindy Williams and Pernell Wilson.
