A DAVEY TREE FOR
THE HOLIDAYS
Davey employees have long provided
splendidly massive Christmas trees for
the holidays for many a client throughout
company history.
Holiday trees from Davey have brightened
some truly special places, including the
White House. This tree, pictured, stood
outside the Ford Motor Company world
headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, in
1963. The Norway spruce stood 75 feet
tall and was covered in 70,000 miniature
lightbulbs to help Ford employees and
guests celebrate the holidays.
A longtime client, Davey transplanted
many Christmas trees to the Ford
headquarters over the years. A year
earlier, in 1962, Davey employees provided
a Colorado blue spruce that stood 42
feet tall inside the Ford Rotunda.
The Ford holiday tree is just one example
of spectacular, historic Christmas
trees provided by Davey.
Davey employees erect and decorate a Christmas
tree for the Ford Motor Company in Detroit in 1963.
