TREES AND UTILITIES CONFERENCE
BOLSTERED BY DAVEY KNOWLEDGE
Davey was the platinum sponsor of the 2019 Trees & Utilities Conference, which
is a partnership of the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and the Arbor Day
Foundation. The conference was held in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Trees & Utilities Conference places the issues facing the industry surrounding
safety, workforce retention and technology at the forefront of conversation, said
Laura Wimer, director of client experience, Eastern Utility.
"By having a large presence at this conference, we are able to educate and be
well-informed on how Davey can be the most successful moving forward," Wimer
said. "I think with the amount of focus in our industry on safety and workforce
retention, we need to have a presence at these conferences. Our clients also
want to know what's new."
Tom Wolf, vice president of sales and client relations, Davey Resource Group,
Utility Vegetation Management, gave the welcome address at the conference
and spoke about the ways "we" as an industry can unite to make an impact,
Wimer said.
"It's the collaboration and what we can all bring to advance this industry," she
said. "What we can all do to tackle the issues of safety, employee retention and
working toward constant improvement."
