Jeff Blackett retired July 21, 2019,
following 15 years of service.
Blackett was superintendent for
Fieldstone Golf, Davey Golf North.
His trusted work companion who
helped clear geese from the course,
a golden retriever named Miss Loco,
also retired.
Joseph B. Cook retired Aug. 4, 2019,
following 8 years of service. Cook
was a landscape technician, Davey
Golf South.
Larry Ivey retired July 19, 2019,
following 24 years of service. Ivey
was a maintenance mechanic at the
Wolf Tree Shop.
Charles Eugene Jackson retired May
12, 2019, after 30 years of service.
Jackson worked as a trimmer and
foreman with Wolf Tree. He was a
foreman with the Appalachian Electric
Cooperative account.
Kevin William Martin retired June 2,
2019, following eight years of service.
Martin was a clerk in the customer
service department.
John Moss retired Aug. 18, 2019,
following 38 years of service.
Moss was shop manager at the
Chantilly-Dulles shop since 2001.
Previously, Moss worked as a
landscape foreman, foreman and
plant health care technician with the
North Virginia office. He started with
Davey in 1981 as a mechanic in the
North Virginia office. He is a 1994
D.I.T.S. graduate.
Steven Norwick retired June 30, 2019,
following 37 years of service. Norwick
was a project coordinator at the
Northwest Chicago office. He started
with Davey in 1982 as a trimmer before
earning promotions to foreman and
sales representative. Norwick is a
1985 graduate of D.I.T.S.
We are saddened by the loss of Mike Megeath, who passed away
on July 29, 2019. Megeath was branch manager of the Dulles territory
in Virginia.
We are saddened by the passing of Hollie Sloan on Aug. 12, 2019.
Sloan served 13 years at Davey and was a billing specialist for the
Residential/Commercial service line at the corporate office.
We are saddened by the passing of Jimmy Fleenor on Sept. 10, 2019.
Fleenor served two years as a groundman on the Appalachian Electric
Cooperative account

John Moss Steven Norwick Sandra Tucker
Jose Orozco retired July 14, 2019,
after 16 years of service. Orozco
was a foreman with the North
Houston office.
Sandra Tucker retired Aug. 4, 2019,
following 35 years of service. Tucker
was a client experience coordinator
with Davey's Charleston office.
Steve White retired Aug. 30, 2019,
following 22 years of service. White
was an area manager, Davey Resource
Group, central utility Southwest.
James Zatezalo retired June 30,
2019, following 35 years of service.
Zatezalo was most recently a sales
and service technician at the North
Pittsburgh office. Zatezalo started as
a groundman in the South Pittsburgh
office in 1977. He is a graduate of
both D.I.T.S. and D.I.H.S.
