THE DAVEY BULLETIN
KEEPING SAFETY 'ON A ROLL'
Doing the same thing over and over
again can be mundane – but not when
it comes to safety.
In this issue, we recognize Davey
employees for repetition – repeating
the same safe work practices to keep
themselves and their coworkers safe.
More than 3,000 Davey employees
are included in the 2018 Safety Honor
Road insert in the middle of this issue.
We also recognize employees from the
Davey Tree Surgery Company and the
Duke Asheville account for achieving
an incident-free safety record in 2018.
We can all agree, working safely
day-in and day-out never gets old.
Is your crew exceptionally safe?
Tell us how by sending an email
to bulletin@davey.com, and we
might feature your team in an
upcoming issue.
ON THE COVER
This issue's cover showcases Seattle
and its picturesque views of Mount
Rainier. Passengers on the Sound
Transit enjoy these views along with
reliable train service thanks to rail
clearance work performed by Davey
Surgery crews.
The partnership with Sound Transit is
just an example of Davey's burgeoning
rail line clearance work. Rail clearance
work is expanding in Canada, and
the service is taking root in the U.S.
as well.
Look for more coverage of Davey's
growing rail clearance work in a future
Bulletin issue.
ON THE LOOKOUT
Earlier this year, the Bulletin team
reached out to Davey managers all
across the U.S. and Canada asking
for your Bulletin stories.
As part of that outreach, we
shared guidelines and encouraged
submissions that align with this
year's new story labeling system in
the Bulletin. The new labels, explained
in the graphic at right, link to the
company's six core values and its
vision and mission statements.
As always, we're on the lookout
for your stories. Remember to
share them with your supervisors
or email them to us directly at
bulletin@davey.com. You can also
call 800-447-1667 ext. 8615 to
share your Bulletin story ideas.
ON SOCIAL MEDIA
We love to celebrate Davey
employees on Davey's official
social media accounts.
Some of the ways we do this include
congratulating employees when they
earn an industry certification, reach
a service award milestone, retire
after a long Davey career and more.
If you've got an employee who's
worth celebrating, share with us and
we'll share their photos online so we
can all celebrate their achievements
together. You can send these via
email to bulletin@davey.com.
