THE DAVEY BULLETIN
CLIENT EXPERIENCE:
GOOD WILL GOES FAR
Every day, we each walk into work with the power to do
good – to boost the health of a tree, brighten a coworker's
day or go above and beyond for a client.
Somedays, you're lucky enough to do all three! That was
the case for Dash Schenck, assistant district manager, and
his crew, Andy Bruce, groundman, Taniela "Nela" Kaloni,
groundman, Miguel Morales, trimmer, Francisco Aguilar,
trimmer, and Eduardo Suarez, foreman, of the East Bay,
California, office, Residential/Commercial services.
Over two days, they pruned a giant oak tree and removed
two trees for Catherine Taylor.
But, as Schenck said, "It's the little things that make the
difference." While he was scheduling the appointment,
he worked with Taylor to ensure her grandson, Gaius,
was there.
When the day came, Gaius perched on the porch and
watched the Davey crew work. At lunch, they gathered
around pizza, laughing and chatting. When the job was finally
done, everyone walked away smiling.
Schenck attributes that to having the right crew for the right
job. "They're all professionals, and they're so good at what
they do," Schenck said. "But you've also got to be open and
ready for experiences like this."
Taylor was certainly thrilled with the crew's extra
touches and planned to recommend Davey to her
country club members.
"Amazing job! The crew was fabulous! The guys were so
sweet to my grandson! It was so perfect for Gaius. We are
so happy that we chose Davey!" Taylor wrote in an email.
Joe Berg, the office's district manager, also beamed
with pride.
"We as a team were so happy to have created such a great
experience for this client. Every day our guys leave the office
with monumental tasks in extremely difficult situations.
The fact that we can create such a positive impact with our
clients, while safely and efficiently completing our work,
means everything to us," Berg said.
