This month, instructors are preparing for the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, a month-long intensive training course for Davey employees. D.I.T.S. dates to 1908 and was founded by Martin L. Davey, Sr., as an effort to retain men through the winter months—when little tree work was available at the time. Davey employees will travel to Kent later this month to begin training.
